Bis(diethylamino)(pentafluorophenyl)phosphane – a Push–Pull Phosphane Available for Coordination
A facile large-scale synthesis of the “push–pull”-substituted ligand bis(diethylamino)(pentafluorophenyl)phosphane is reported. A selenophosphorane as well as complexes with CuI and PdCl2, can be formed almost quantitatively from suitable starting materials. The PdII complex shows a square-planar coordination with significant distortions of the Cl–Pd–Cl moiety in the solid state. In contrast, t...
متن کاملA push-pull queueing system
We consider a two node multiclass queueing network given by two machines each with two classes. There are two streams of jobs: One stream originates in machine 1, which feeds it for further processing to machine 2, and the other stream moves in the opposite direction. We describe a policy for this system which is stable and which keeps both machines busy at all times. We obtain explicit express...
متن کاملPush and Pull Systems
Data broadcasting has emerged as an efficient way for the dissemination of information over asymmetric wireless environments where the needs of the various users of the data items are usually overlapping. In such environments, data broadcasting stands to be an efficient solution since the broadcast of a single information item is likely to satisfy a possibly large number of users. Communication...
متن کاملPush-pull farming systems.
Farming systems for pest control, based on the stimulo-deterrent diversionary strategy or push-pull system, have become an important target for sustainable intensification of food production. A prominent example is push-pull developed in sub-Saharan Africa using a combination of companion plants delivering semiochemicals, as plant secondary metabolites, for smallholder farming cereal production...
متن کاملPush-pull Strategy for Insect Pest Management
The ‘push-pull’ strategy, a novel tool for integrated pest management programs, uses a combination of behavior-modifying stimuli to manipulate the distribution and abundance of insect pests and/or natural enemies. In this strategy, the pests are repelled or deterred away from the main crop (push) by using stimuli that mask host apparency or are repellent or deterrent. The pests are simultaneous...
